Agreement
By using Pathlumi you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you are under 18, please read them with a parent or guardian.
Accounts
- You must give accurate information when you create an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself.
- One person, one account. Do not share an account or create one for someone else.
- Administrator access is granted by us. Nothing in the product lets an account promote itself, and attempting to do so is grounds for suspension.
Students
- You must be at least 13 years old to create a student account.
- Pathlumi helps you find opportunities. It does not run them, does not apply on your behalf, and has no influence on any decision made about you.
- Always confirm requirements, deadlines and costs on the organization's official site before relying on them.
- Your saved list and notes are yours. We do not show them to anyone.
Organizations
By posting on Pathlumi you confirm that:
- You are authorised to represent the organization you list.
- The opportunity is real, is genuinely open to high-school students, and is described accurately — including its cost, its deadline and what applying involves.
- You will not use Pathlumi to ask students for Social Security numbers, banking or payment details, medical records, or government identification.
- You will not use Pathlumi to contact students directly. There is no messaging feature, and building one around the product is a breach of these terms.
- You will keep listings current, and archive them when they close. A listing that has been wrong twice may be removed.
- You are solely responsible for the safety, supervision and legal compliance of anything you run.
We review every organization and every listing before publication, and may reject, edit, archive or remove anything at our discretion.
Content and moderation
You keep ownership of what you write. By submitting it you give us a non-exclusive licence to display it on Pathlumi and in related material such as search results and social previews.
We moderate. Listings may be rejected with a reason, edited for accuracy or safety, archived when they expire, or removed. Moderation decisions are logged.
What we do not promise
- We do not guarantee accuracy. Listing details come from the organizations that post them. We review and, where we can, verify — and things still change without notice.
- We do not vet the programmes themselves. We review the organization and the listing. We do not run background checks on staff or volunteers, inspect premises, or supervise anything.
- We do not predict outcomes. Pathlumi shows why something matched your stated preferences. It never estimates your chance of being accepted, and you should be suspicious of anything that claims to.
- We do not promise availability. The service may be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
Prohibited use
You may not:
- Post false, misleading or fraudulent opportunities
- Attempt to contact students privately through any part of the service
- Request sensitive personal information from students
- Scrape, harvest or bulk-download data from Pathlumi
- Attempt to access another account, escalate your own privileges, or bypass moderation
- Post anything that harasses, endangers or discriminates against anyone
- Use Pathlumi to advertise something that is not an opportunity for students
We suspend accounts for any of these, usually without warning.
Intellectual property
The Pathlumi name, wordmark, interface and original written content belong to us. Organization names, logos and listing text belong to the organizations that supplied them.
Liability
Pathlumi is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We are not liable for anything arising out of an opportunity you found here, including any act or omission by an organization, any decision made about an application, or any loss arising from information that turned out to be out of date.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from settings. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or that puts students at risk. Moderation records survive account deletion, with the account reference removed.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the product before they take effect, and the date at the top always reflects the current version.
